Psychic inhibitor
A psychic inhibitor, also called a psy-suppressor, is an innocuous Imperial device that creates a weak null field around the wearer.[1a]
These types of devices are of little use against battle psykers or sorcery. They are commonly worn by those who wish to remain inconspicuous, such as criminals and petty witches.[1a]
Devices such as these can disrupt and potentially block out a low-level psychic field.[1a] This does not entirely block out the low-level psychic field of some genestealer broods' psychic nets. The subversive psychic effects of such a brood's genestealer hybrids can even have an effect on individuals wearing a psychic inhibitor, cowing them and dulling their wits.[1b] However, the null field can help a user with a strong will resist a genestealer's influence.[1c]
