Ramjet Diffraction Grid

Ramjet Diffraction Grids were a type of Energy Field used by the aircraft of the Legiones Astartes during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy.[1]
Overview
Diffraction grids made use of a similar technology to the Flare Shield, with their systems channelling the plasma heat and radiated waste of a vehicle's powerful engines into a scattering super-heated plasma field, leaving a fiery, comet-like trail in the vehicle's wake.[1]
