Regiment Civitas Beati
The Regiment Civitas Beati is an elite part of the Herodian Planetary Defense Forces,[1c] specially formed to defend the eponymous city of Civitas Beati.[1a]
Equipment
The Regiment Civitas Beati is equipped with wheeled armed personal carriers,[1a] light tanks, self-propelled guns[1b] and a low amount of field artillery.[1d] Troopers are armed with lascarbines.[1a]
Officers wear a ceremonial battledress, consisting of a gleaming brown leather embossed with gold-wire detailing, reinforced by segmented armour covering the chest and the left arm. On Herodor, laws restrict the possession of fire to the local warrior-nobility, as such only officers are permitted to carry special personal flamers. These project a long stream of flames from the operator's gloves when triggered by a stirrup built into the palm. The flamers themselves are fed by a compact accelerant tanks strapped to the back.[1a]
