Rok Guitar
Rok Guitars,[1] or Jammers,[2] are threateningly loud Ork instruments, that Goff Rokkers[1] use to play Moozik[3] called Goffik Rock.[2]
Description
Created by the Goffs Clan's Mekboys, and wielded only by Boyz who can master them, the Guitars absorb, magnify and channel the Waaagh! psychic energy that Orks produce when they get excited[2] listening to Goffik Rock.[1] The absorbed energy is then emitted around the Rokkers and it makes those Orks that are struck by it, become frenzied. This greatly increases the Orks' strength, but they are no longer able to successfully fire off ranged weapons afterwards. Even Weirdboys are impacted by the energy, as they will be unable to use most of their psychic powers, due to listening to the Goffik Rock.[2]
Other non-Ork psykers are not so fortunate, as the Rok Guitar's energy will disrupt any psychic abilities that are cast near the Goff Rokkers. This will prevent the psykers' powers from being effectively used and will cause psychic attacks aimed at the Rokkers to miss. It is even possible that non-Ork psykers will explode, if they attempt to use their powers near the Rokkers. The Guitars' absorbed Waaagh energy, can also be used to fire off a lash of black and green power, which is strong enough to kill a Farseer. If need be, the Guitars can be wielded as power weapons as well, thanks to the Waaagh! energy that courses through them. Rokkers will typically swing the instruments by their necks, like axes, when they engage in melee combat, but doing so will wreck the Guitars' delicate components. These are what allow the instruments to channel Waaagh! energy and the damaged Guitars will lose that ability, until they are repaired.[2]
