Ruark

This article includes as a source one the three Black Library novels reissued under the now-defunct Heretic Tomes banner (Farseer, Pawns of Chaos, Space Marine) which, per the Publication Disclaimer, contained material considered outdated or inconsistent with established background lore. The banner has not appeared since 2016, leaving the status of these works uncertain – except for Space Marine whose description now labels it a “curiosity.”

Ruark (or Ruarc) was the Chief Tech-Adept of Rogue Trader Janus Darke's ship the Star of Venam.^[1a]

Description

Ruark had a narrow face, and wore large robes.^[1b]

Notes

• Early editions of Farseer (Novel) seem to have spelled his name as Ruark in Chapters Four and Ten, and Ruarc in Chapter Fifteen. All three cases were standardised as Ruark in the 2010 reprint.^[1a][1b][1c]
