Ryza pattern type IV flight helmet
The Ryza pattern type IV flight helmet is a flight helmet worn by pilots of the Aeronautica Imperialis.[1]
Description
The helmet features a photo-chromatic anti-flash visor and a tactical display and plugs directly into the system controls of an aircraft to access data about the life support, the tactical and targeting readouts for all weapons as well as the damage diagnosis system, all of which can be displayed on the inside of the visor.[1]
Always worn with a leather inner helmet, which contains a secure comms receiver, the helmet also features internal pressure protection to negate the effect of high Gs during turning or acceleration manoeuvres.[1]
Pilots can customise their helmets, for example with the addition of a hand-painted Imperial Eagle.[1]
