Sa'kan is a Salamanders Primaris Space Marine, part of squad Va'Lok in the Chapter's 3rd Company.[3a]
Biography
During the Pariah Crusade on Paradyce III[1] he was sent on a mission to make contact with Lieutenant Vorenus of the Ultramarines and find a way to unite their forces to retake the southern cities on the planet.[3c] When he first arrived to the planet his Thunderhawk crashed[3a], killing the other Salamanders who came with him. After landing he was almost immediately attacked by members of the Death Korps of Krieg who had been experimented on by Illuminor Szeras. After leaving the gunship he fought with several Necrons and found civilians who had managed to survive the battle in the city. Shortly after he encountered Sister Danica, in the middle of a stand off with her over letting the civilians live or not they were attacked by a Deathmark.[3b]
After escaping the Deathmark they made their way to city core. Just as he told the civilians to head west they were ambushed by a Skorpekh Destroyer which cut off his right hand. Shortly after defeating it the Deathmark from before caught up with them, it killed Sister Danica and was then heavily damaged by Sa'kan before retreating, Sa'kan then told the civilians to go west again before leaving them. Later he found and killed the Deathmark as it was talking to Szeras; he then talked briefly with Szeras before moving on.[3c]
Later in the invasion, Sa'kan aided the Ultramarines Primaris Apothecary Brutus in recovering the gene-seed of slain Ultramarines.[2] In the course of doing so, they discovered that some of the bodies of Brutus' Battle Brothers had gone missing and later learned they were being experimented upon by the Necrons.[1]
