Salamantis VI is a Shrine World of the Imperium.[1]
When the Chaos Space Hulk Blasphemous Voyager exited the Warp and began to drift towards Salamantis VI, a call for aid was answered by an Ultramarines strikeforce. The Space Hulk was too large for the Ultramarines to destroy with their ships, so Captain Trajan personally led his Battle Brothers in planting well placed explosives inside the Blasphemous Voyager that would alter its course away from the Salamantis VI. Despite facing a fierce resistance from the Chaos Space Marines aboard the Space Hulk, the Ultramarines were successful and the survivors began to retreat to their extraction points. Captain Trajan's squadron, however, was cut off by the attacking Chaos Space Marines and were not able to escape in time, before the explosives went off, sending the Space Hulk into a new course straight into Salamantis VI's sun.[1]
