Santiel's Pride is a Imperial Hive World belonging to House Chorda that is located in Nolla Septum System of the Koronus Expanse.[1a]
Overview
Santiel's Pride's hives have oozing noxious haze veined with sulphurous streaks — the promethium fumes from the gigantic distilling cauldrons located beyond the temperature shields. Vast, endless deadlands littered with spots of promethium stations and refineries separate the colossi of rockcrete and adamantine with its crown of gargantuan spires. The heat of this system's star has turned this world into a boiling but lucrative gland within the body of the House Chorda protectorate.[1a]
The heat of the star is such that even staying close to the outer walls would have a person suffer heat stroke or be boiled alive. Even at night, the surface does not have time to cool. The Upper City has cooling zones that can be entered for a fee to feel relief from the sweltering heat.[1c]
Despite its austerity and piousness, the hive is crawling with lawbreakers and purchasing Obscura is easy, with crooks selling them on every street corner.[1c]
The planet has 38 hour days. For the average worker, this means 25 hour shifts in the Manufactorums followed by 5-7 hours for mandatory public service (cleaning streets, attending sermons, patrolling floors) leaving only 6 hours for domestic chores and rest.[1c]

After the Rogue Trader Von Valancius Heir returns from Commorragh, investigations of rumours regarding the Fall of Sanitel's Pride has them discover that the system's star is gone, having been taken by the Drukhari as had been done in the Rykad System. The lack of a sun has caused Santiel's Pride to freeze, turning the surface of the world an icy blue and its Hive Cities to be abandoned and dead. Its Tithe Grade has been reduced to V607 to reflect this, equivalent to Planetoids like those of the Frozen Prince System or the Snow World of the Telikos Epsilon System.[1b]
