Rykad System
The Rykad System was located within the Koronus Expanse under the domain of House Winterscale. The system consisted of three planets and two space stations on the outskirts of the system. The capital of the system was Rykad Minoris.[1a]

During the rule of Calligos Winterscale in M42, the Planetary Government on Rykad Minoris was overthrown by an uprising led by a Chaos Cult, which was instigated by agents of the Word Bearers Traitor Legion. Right as the rebellion reached its peak, the star of the Rykad System was taken by the Drukhari, causing the system to collapse as its planets, no longer held in orbit, drifted into deep space, slowly freezing along with their inhabitants.[1b]
Around a century later, a fragment of Rykad Minoris entered the Furibundus System, where it was captured by void miners. A portion of the fragment was brought to Footfall and used in the restoration of the God-Emperor's statue, serving as a memorial to the world that was destroyed by corruption.
