Scarab-Pattern Carrier
The Scarab-Pattern Carrier was a medium-sized armoured anti-gravity transport speeder, that was used by the Imperial Army during the Great Crusade.[1]
Description
It contained a long, gently curved hull, a troop hold for stowage and a stern-mounted auto turret for the transport's defense. The auto turret could be operated either remotely from the cockpit or set to auto-serve. The Scarab was also equipped with powerful suspension fields, that allowed it to coast well and could travel up to at least eighty kilometres per hour.[1]
Other equipment included an auspex and low-light viewers wired to the cockpit dashboard, which displayed the surroundings in a tinted green during nightime operations. The low-light viewers were limited to a 110° cone in the direction of travel.[1]
