The Serrated Sun was a Chapter of the Word Bearers Space Marine Legion during the Great Crusade and Horus Heresy. It specialized in Tactical Drop Pod assaults.[1a]
History
Following the sack of Monarchia, the Primarch Lorgar Aurelian travelled with the Serrated Sun on the Pilgrimage, where members of the 7th Company became the first of the Gal Vorbak.[2d] Most of the chapter was wiped out during the Drop Site Massacre, and Chapter Master Argel Tal formed the Vakrah Jal in its place.[3]
