The Siege of Khanoris.[3]

The Siege of Khanoris was a battle fought between the Blood Angels and the Necrons on the tomb world of Khanoris.[1][2]

Background

In the darkness of the Imperium Nihilus, deep beneath the surface of ice-locked Khanoris, something ancient stirred. Amidst the emerald glow of eldritch engines, Necron tomb complexes of the Sautekh Dynasty rumbled upwards through the frozen ground and into the light of day. Imperial defence regiments were swiftly annihilated by the android legions that marched from Khanoris' blizzards with their guns spitting green lightning.

Yet, against the odds, the cries of the planet's Astropaths had not gone unheard. Even as the Necrons stalked across the snowfields to besiege Khanoris' Hive Primus, gunships of the Blood Angels Chapter appeared over the polar mountains. The descent of angels began, and the Scions of Sanguinius swept down on wings of fire, fighting to stem the tide of the xenos foe.[1]

Diorama

There is also a diorama of the same name exhibited at Warhammer World.[1][2]

One of the unique challenges in building this display was the number of 45° angles and amount of edge bevelling required. The team spent a lot of time measuring to make sure that the geometry of the pyramid structures was correct, before starting to build them.[1]
