Siege of Olympia

The Siege of Olympia was a battle of the Great Scouring.^[1]

Beginning in 019.M31^[2] and lasting two years, the battle saw the Ultramarines and Imperial Fists invade the Iron Warriors' homeworld of Olympia. While the Iron Warriors put up a stubborn defence, defeat eventually became inevitable. Out of spite, the Iron Warriors triggered their own missile stockpiles before the world could be conquered. The resulting explosions turned Olympia into a vast barren wasteland and from that day on, the world was declared perdita by the Imperium.^[1][3]
