Skulane
Skulane was a Trooper of the Tanith First and Only. He served as a special weapons trooper, wielding a heavy flamer.[1a][1b]
Biography
At one point during the Sabbat Worlds Crusade, the Tanith First were deployed on the Forge World of Fortis Binary. After many months of stalemated trench warfare against the Shriven Chaos Cult, Lord High Militant General Hechtor Dravere, growing impatient with the lack of progress, ordered the Tanith First and a regiment of Vitrian Dragoons to advance on the enemy position and engage them. During the fighting, the Tanith First was divided in the chaos of the battle. Skulane ended up in a detachment led by Colonel Corbec.[1b]
After working their way through the trench network, the Tanith and Vitrians encountered a series of outbuildings that they found the Shriven had filled with strange, corrupted mechanical drums. Colonel Corbec ordered Skulane to incinerate the contents of each shed, but as he prepared to fire, he was shot in the head by Trooper Drayl, who had been corrupted by a Chaos artefact in the trenches. To make matters worse, the Tanith were forced to blow up Skulane's body with grenades, as his heavy flamer was writhing out of control on the ground where he had dropped it.[1b]
