The term slaughtering engines of Khorne, or simply Slaughterers, refers to a range of different war machines dedicated to the Chaos God Khorne.[1a]

Overview

The first war machines classified as Slaughterers appeared during the Horus Heresy, in the form of the "berserker" Dreadnoughts of the World Eaters.[1a]

In the millennia after the Heresy, Chaos forces dedicated to Khorne employed a wide variety of war machines called Slaughterers. These often varied in size, weaponry and power and were encountered by the Imperium in many different war zones, from the Sabbat Worlds to the southern galactic fringe.[1a]

It wasn't until the First War for Armageddon that Slaughterers began to appear in increasing numbers. Since then, several types of Daemon Engines bearing that name have been identified, most prominently the Blood Slaughterer.[1a]
