Space Marine Strike Force
Space Marine Strike Forces are large formations of Space Marines, that are organised to typically strike at their enemies hard and fast, in order to annihilate all resistance. They then complete their objectives and relocate before their foes can deliver any retribution.[1]
Description
For such operations, a combined arms approach is the most strategically flexible. This includes having the Strike Forces' Space Marines clad in different marks of power armour and armed with an array of weaponry. They also will be supported by Battle Tanks, swift assault vehicles and combat aircraft. However, when sustained stealth operations behind enemy lines are called upon, a more focused and specialist approach is required. Such assets include Phobos Strike Teams, which can be sent ahead of Strike Forces to act as their eyes and ears. These covert reconnaissance operations can provide Strike Forces with valuable information about their foes. Alternatively, Phobos Strike Teams can conduct acts of sabotage, assassinations or guerrilla warfare, before the Strike Forces' attacks begin.[1]
