The '''Mordant Acid Dogs''' are the [[Imperial Guard]] [[regiment]]s recruited from [[Mordant Prime]]. The regiments attract those that cannot live on the miserable payment of the mining clans or earn the wrath of one of the criminal gangs.
There Mordant is an mining world where the population lives in the subterranean tunnels. The conditions within the tunnels are harsh, where criminal gangs are two types of inhabitants on Mordant: the acid miners; only authority and everyone elsecitizens must prey upon each for the meagre resources. The Only the skilled miners, with part of a very old organization of clans, do not suffer from the poverty of the world. The miners contract local manual labour , paying only just enough to allow minimum survival the most basic of living conditions in the shacks of the shanty caverns. Organised crime is rife in these caverns as citizens prey  The Mordant regiments are generally formed from those that cannot live on each other for what little resources they have. In these caverns the violence miserable payment of the mining clans or earn the wrath of one of the criminal gangs is the only recognized authority.
