Iyanden is one of two major craftworlds near to the tau empire the other is alaitoc[[Alaitoc]]. an infamous [[Eldar]] corsair prince Prince [[Yriel]] was exiled from from the craftworld when a premptive strike using the entire fleet to destory a powerful chaos fleet left the craftworld virtually unprotected. This ultimately became the craftworlds farseers ' greatest regret as when the tendrils of hive fleet kracken began to dig deep into the craftworlds defenses which cost [[Hive Fleet Kraken]] was launched appon the craftworld millions . Millions upon millions of lives and untold numbers of souls were lost to Slannesh Slaanesh as their spirit stones were cracked. The craftworld was too slow to outrun the Tyranid invasion and was all but destroyed. At the craftworlds darkest hour , salvation came from the heavens as Prince Yriel return, landed, shocked the farseers as he took the spear of twilight and drove it into the head of the leader beast of the invaders, thus saving what was left of Iyanden. ==Organisation==The craftworld is at the brink of extinction and has little warriors left. As a result Lyanden has had to quickly rebuilt its armies by relying on [[wraith-constructs]] and in particular [[Wraithguard]]. Normally the souls of their dead ancestors are left to rest, which is currently but in danger these dire times the Seers of becoming extinct Lyanden channel their souls within the infinity circuit into a psycho-crystalline spirit stone and perhaps subsequently interred in the impregnable wraithbone shell of a construct. Now these might wraithguards tower above the 1st limited number of Lyanden's [[Guardians]] and [[Dire Avengers]], ever silent. The psykers who specialise in summoning wraith-constructs are known as Spiritseers and guide them on the battlefield. ==Notable Characters==Prince [[Yriel]] of lyanden, one of the greatest corsairs of the Eldar and saviour of the Lyanden craftworld that escaped .
