'''Prandium''' is classified under [[Dead World]]. Once It was once part of the [[Ultramarines]] empire of [[Ultramar]] located within the [[Ultima Segmentum]].
Originally an agri-world the that supplied consumables to the rest of the sector, Prandium was colonized by explorers from [[Macragge]] in the years following the [[Horus Heresy]]. The planet quickly became the "jewel" of Ultramar and prospered for thousands of years until attacked and consumed by [[Hive Fleet Behemoth]] in 745.[[M41]].
The current state of the former agri-world is one devoid of all life. The Tyranids were so thorough that even Prandium's atmosphere was consumed for what ever biomass it contained. The Ultramarines, led by [[Marneus Calgar]], mounted a defence of the planet, but even the might of the space marines were no match for the endless tide of Tyranids and were forced to retreat to orbit.
