The Blood Ravens do not know of their founding because all records were lost early on in their history the call their unknown founder the 'Unknown Primarch'. It has been speculated that the founding chapter is [[Thousand Sons]] which explains why Blood Raven guard their dark secrets with extreme zeal, and have presumedly even destroyed information of their funding fonding and past. [[Thousand Sons]] founding chapter would also explain great use of Librarians and psychic powers and chapter colour (Thousand Sons pre-heresy colour was red). Also in Horus Heresy novel one Thousand Sons company carried similar symbol to blood ravens.
