The Trail of Saint Evisser is located on the far western edge of the [[Segmentum Solar]]. Little is known about the life of Saint Evisser other than he conducted a lengthy pilgrimage through the route that bears his name. Once a shining example of Imperial piety, it has now become only a shadow of it's former glory.
As [[Imperium]] grew and shipping lanes bypassed the trail, shipping began to fall away causing widespread poverty. The nobles of the Trail moved, leaving the lower classes to continue their toil in the Emperor's name. As the centuries passed the trail fell into decay. Most notably the trail is the site of the attempted remanifestation of the demon [[Ghargatuloth]] also known as The Prince of a Thousand Faces. This remanifestation plunged the trail into anarchy, in order to confuse Imperial forces attempting to defeat the demon, most notable being a strike force of [[Grey Knights]] led by [[Justicar]] [[Alaric]].:<sup>1</sup>
