Breakback Hill (Imperial archive file: Hill-Gamma Zero), also known as the Disaster at Breakback Hill, was a disastrous defeat for the Imperial's 2nd Catachan upon [[Balor]] in the Charadon Sector. Not much is known about this battle due to the very high casualty count, but that the two factions fighting were the 2nd Catachan and a bunch of [[Chaos Renegades]]. The brute intelligent Ogryn [[Nork Deddog]] notably carried his frail and half dead [[Colonel Greiss]] to safety during which an explosion fired from the Renegades hit the soil right next to which the Colonel was sending commands from.
What was known on the Imperial's loss was that the Renegades seemed to have only one advantage, that they had captured a stategic point. Other than that, like most Renegades, they were poorly armed, outnumbered and most likely demoralized due to the lack of Command and shortage of supplies. However, at some point during the Battle, the Renegades got the upper hand when a large number of their dedicated allegiance, [[Khorne]] Beserkers, stormed out of nowhere down the hill, slaughtering most of the unexpecting guardsmen. It was a great loss to the Imperial Guard, and although Nork Deddog received yet another medal for saving the Colonel's life, little is known as to why the hill was of such value to the forces of Chaos.
