Most notably, the trail was the site of the attempted re-manifestation of the daemon [[GhargatulothGhargauloth]] also known as The Prince of a Thousand Faces. This re-manifestation led to the rise of anarchists throughout the Trail in order to confuse Imperial forces attempting to defeat the daemon. Most notable of the Imperial retaliation was a strike force of [[Grey Knights]] led by [[Justicar]] [[Alaric]].¹
