Projectile weapons have their origins far back in human history, perhaps prehistorical, with slings and arrows. They are as reliable and effective now as they were then. They come in a wide range and forms from high strength to high rate of fire to a basic combat weapon. For larger projectile weapons, see [[Ordnance Weapons]].
