Mandulis‎ was a Grand Master of the Grey Knights Chapter.
One of the few that survived the first war for Armageddon, Mandulis headed a force of three hundred Grey Knights on to the Chaos corrupted world of Khorion IX in an attempt to vanquish the daemon Ghargatuloth back into the Immaterium. His Nemesis weapon becomes a plot device in a sequence of events that come into play after he vanquishes the daemon into the Warp for one thousand years. The sacrifice of the three hundred Grey Knights results in the banishing of Ghargatuloth. None, save the body of Grand Master Mandulis, his Nemesis Force Weapon— a lightning bolt shaped sword— were recovered. He is mentioned several times in the novel Grey Knights by Ben Counter; his sword is thought to be the only weapon capable of destroying Ghargatuloth again. His body is entombed beneath the surface of Titan in a large vault. His Nemesis Force Weapon, is buried with him, although it was once removed from his grave so that it could be used to slay Ghargatuloth again.
"Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of the daemon, I shall fear nothing. For I am what the daemon fears" -Grand Master Mandulis
