The '''heavy stubber''' is a primitive heavy machine gun (relatively) primitve slug-firing weapon that ay may be considered analogous to modern machine guns. It is often seen pintle-mounted on many [[Imperial Guard]] vehicles and is used for anti-infantry and light anti-aircraft fire. It is fairly reliable, cheap and easy to mass produce, and is nearly as effective as a [[Bolter]], though it is far less sophisticated a weapon. It is often used on worlds without the technological base to make [[Las Weapons|las weapons]]. When the [[Storm Bolter]] is not available, they are often [[Pintle weapons|pintle mounted]] onto vehicles as close defense weapons.
