This solid gold medal is given to veterans who have served for more than 20 years in active service for the [[Imperial Guard]]. It is also awarded posthumously to veterans who die in an unpleasant or horrific and yet heroic manner. It is also awarded to active veterans who have survived an unimaginable scenario in which they came close to death.
