He is most famous for his association with the [[Ogryn]] [[Nork Deddog]]. Nork saved Greiss's life several times, including carrying him from Breakback Hill when most of Greiss's body was shattered.
Greiss was eventually succeeded as commander colonel of the Catachan II by colonel his former subordinate, [[Straken|"Iron Hand" Straken]].<sup>1</sup>
