The most advanced ship in the Kor'vattra, the Lar'shi was borne out of the Damocles Gulf Crusade, designed to match the Imperial Lunar Class cruiser in direct battle. Indeed, it shares many similarities with the Imperial design, featuring a reasonable prow torpedo strength, and an armoured prow - albeit the Tau use deflector technology to artificially strengthen the hull of their ships rather than physically mount more material onto the hull.
Configurations
As with most ships in the Kor'vattra, the Lar'shi has several variations in its design, the two most prominent being the Vash'ya and the Tolku.
Vash'ya Configuration
This design features prow, port and starboard Railgun batteries, of a power greater than the Il'fannor cruiser. Facing this design head-on is a fierce prospect, as the Lar'shi can also overlap the firing arcs of its various batteries.
Tolku Configuration
The port and starboard Railguns are replaced by the more potent, if shorter ranged Ion Cannons. Retaining the prow Railgun battery, coupled with the port and starboard launch bays that both configurations have, the Tolku is a very popular design due to its ability to to be utilised in various roles.
