The [[Catachan]] jungle fighters of the Imperial Guard are an elite regiment, that specializes in destroying the Emperor’s foes on the most dangerous worlds of the Imperium. Their training is really put to the test when a squad is sent to the death world of [[Rogar III]] in response to an ork incursion. But as well as dealing with the 1 squad is sent on a special mission to eliminate a cunning ork warboss called 'big green-skinned orks they must do battle with ' but the planet itself planets hostile enviromnet and the orks slow them down. thye are stalked by mysterious figures that stalk them across the deadly terrain'zombies' of dead comades...characters:

'long run' lorenzo: one of the storys main characters and he is obsessed about dying without his earned name which is given to him by braxton and the end of the novel. he is the only charachter in the story to break the hold of the blue light.  'sharkbait' muldoon: one of griess's squad. he is a vetrean jungle fighter and earned his name when he was almsot eaten by a marsh-shark but is killed during a attack on a ork encampment when he blows himself and a ork battlewagon up to save lorenzo. 'hotshot' woods: one of greiss's squad. he is often portayed as been cocky. he dies when his spine is shattered during a attack on a ork encampment and greiss ends his life. he got his name from when he rushed a ork sniper alone. 'bullseye' myers: one of greiss's squad and he is well known as a good shot. he is killed during a fight with 'big green'  'brains' donovits:one of greiss's squad. he is the smartest chatacter in the book and is killed during the fight in the ork encampent. 'steel-toe' dougan: one of the most experienced members of greiss's squad. he is lured away during the night and is turned into a so called 'zombie'. his name comes from his bionic leg 'patch' armstrong: one of the exprienced members of greiss's squad. he sacrifices himself to save lorenzo. his name comes from the eye-patch he wears. landon: a rookie in greiss's squad.he is killed by the dougan 'zombie' 'old hardhead' greiss's: he is the squad leader. his name comes from the metal plate in his head he got when a mine exploded close to him. braxton: commisar mackenzies assisatant. he gains the respect of the squad when he kills 'big green' with a head-shot. mackenzie: a young commisar who is obsessed with trying to gain control of the jungle fighters but he fails. he is killed when the blue light influences him to walk into a trip-wire.  'sly' marbo: a legendery catachan soilder who is a one man army. he kills several orks though the story and he stalks the squad thought the story.   [[Category: Novels]]
