With the near destruction of [[Iyanden]] by the [[tyranids]] the craftworld's Seers have resorted to the almost unthinkable, raising their dead as [[wraithguard]] and [[wraithlords]].<sup>2</sup> Few seers are able to perform the rights necessary.<sup>1</sup> Those that can are known as [[spiritseer|spiritseers]] and of them Iyanna Arienal, also known as the Angel of Iyanden, is considered to be the greatest.<sup>2</sup>
Iyanna is considered a hero by her people. While she is loathe to disturb the long dead warriors who gave so much for their home, she refuses to allow Iyanden to fall into ruin. Iyanna believes instead that through her work and sacrifice the craftworld can return once more to its former greatness.<sup>2</sup>
She is armed with a [[shuriken pistol]], the [[spear of Teuthlas]], and the [[armor of Vaul]]. In battle she is accompanied by a massive construct animated by a long dead [[Exarch]]<sup>2</sup>. It is possible this Exarch is Althenian, a [[Fire Dragon]] Exarch, who perished at the Battle of Two Hundred Pyres but this has yet to be confirmed.<sup>1</sup>
