The '''Marines Exemplar''' [[Space Marine]] [[chapter]] is listed in the [[Mythos Angelica Mortis]], a tome of ancient knowledge stating that 20 Space Marine chapters had been created to watch over the [[Eye of Terror]] region. The Exemplars are part of the [[Astartes Praeses]]<sup>1</sup>
The Marines Exemplar dedicated all but one reserve company to the efforts against the 13th [[Black Crusade]] of Chaos. The Their Chapter Master , Maxim Absolon was killed during MIA on a jungle moon after rescuing an astropathic team from a traitor guard push towards Belis Corona. His T-hawk was shot down but the chapter's initial involvement majority of his 1st company escaped. His 2nd in command - Captain Raoul took over and took command of the conflictchapter, distancing them from Logan Grimnars (Space Wolves) command.
Their power armour is black with red arms and shoulderpads (including trim), their chapter badge is a black skull with spikes radiating from the top.
