The '''Marines Exemplar''' [[Space Marine]] [[chapter]] is listed in the [[Mythos Angelica Mortis]], a tome of ancient knowledge stating that 20 Space Marine chapters had been created to watch over the [[Eye of Terror]] region. The Exemplars are part of the [[Astartes Praeses]]<sup>1</sup>
Chapter Master Maxim Absolon originally deployed nine companies (all but one reserve Co.)<sup>1,4</sup> the Chapter according to Logan Grimnar ([[Space Wolves]]) deployment plan, resulting in the Chapter being scattered across several warzones in defense of the 13th Black Crusade<sup>5</sup>. However after the Chapter Masters Thunderhawk was shot down (though the chapter remains hopeful that Absolon may still be alive) Captain Raoul took command and now deploys the Chapter according to his own advisors and not Logan Grimnar's battle plans.<sup>5</sup>
Their power armour is black with red arms and shoulderpads, their chapter badge is a black skull with spikes radiating from the top.<sup>6,7</sup>
