'''Imperial Guard Support Squads''' are part of the [[Imperial Guard Structure]] and are usually taken as part of the [[Command Platoon]]. They are specialised support groups consisting of many heavy weapons and come in a variety of forms to accomodate for any situation. Each Command Platoon may take up to two of each Support Squad except for Sentinel Support Squads, which only one may be taken. Each Squad are armed with 3 heavy weapons unless otherwise noted.
==Fire Support Squad==
Fire Support Squads may be armed with either [[Heavy Bolters]] or [[Autocannons]]. Useful for taking down horde armies.
==Anti-tank Support Squad==
Anti-tank Support Squads may be armed with either [[Lascannons]] or [[Missile Launchers]]. Useful for taking down tanks and monstrous creatures.
==Mortar Support Squad==
Mortar Support Squads are armed with [[Mortars]]. Useful for indirect bombardment.
==Sentinel Support Squad==
Between one and three [[Sentinels]] may be taken, using the standard Sentinel Squadren upgrades.

Special Weapons Support Squads may take up to three of [[Meltagun]], [[Flamer]], [[Grenade Launcher]], [[Sniper Rifle]], but only one [[Demolition Charge]] may be taken. Tget nat aksi take [[Frag Grenades]], [[Krak Grenades]] and [[Melta Bombs]]. The remaining Guardsmen are armed with either [[Lasguns]] or [[Laspistols]] and [[Close Combat Weapons]].
