* '''Founding''': The [[Codex: Space Marines (5th Edition)]]<sup>3b</sup> indicates the Sable Swords were founded in [[M41]], but the [[Warhammer 40,000 5th Edition Rulebook]]<sup>1a</sup> states they participated in the hunt for Vanorich in [[M32]]. This may mean that the chapter was destroyed at some point after [[M32]] and was refounded, possibly as one of the chapters raised in response to the increased threat of the Tyranids.
