== Storyline ==
After the events of Dawn of War II, subsector Aurelia is recovering from the [[Tyranid]] invasion that almost wiped out the [[Blood Ravens]] recruiting planets. However, something sinister is afoot. The planet Aurelia, once thought lost to the warp Warp, has reappeared. Sending a team to investigate this occurrence, the [[Blood Ravens]] quickly discovered discover that the taint of [[Chaos]], in the form of the Black Legion, had has infested this planet during the millennia spent in the warp, which Warp. They are led by [[Eliphas]] and [[Araghast]] the pillagerPillager. Surprisingly, after the first few skirmishes against the Black Legion, Chapter Master Azariah Kyras orders an immediate withdrawal from the system. After refusing to leave, Captain Gabriel Angelos is pronounced a heretic. It is later found out that it is in fact the chapter master Chapter Master and a person someone aboard the Retribution who that are the heretics.
== The Traitor ==
The traitor in the game depends on who had the most corruption. If all your squads are pure, then the traitor will be Martellus the Techmarine.
== Corruption ==
The game "Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War II - Chaos Rising" utilizes a unique system based on corruption. For example, allowing imperial Imperial Guardsmen or Space Marines to perish will make your squads more corrupted. If you capture a foundry or shrine for example, you will gain redemption for your squads. Also, some characters will gain corruption if you don't deploy them on certain missions.
