Due to the unique make-up of any Imperial unit, as indicitive to their background, there is very little one can do to quantify the exact definition of '''Commander'''.Commanders are usually a reference to the highest ranking officer inside a single unit. Whether this be [[Imperial Guard]] [[Lord Commander Solar Macharius]], to the Commander of an 8 man [[Death Korps of Krieg]] unit. More often than not it is firmly attatched to rank, but the title has been known to be more fluid than most others.Chapter Masters of the [[Adeptus Astartes]] are often refered to as Chapter Commanders, however it can also be a reference to the Commander of a specific crusade or battle-action. [[Category:Imperium]]
