Little is known about the '''Tiger Claws''', or their history. What little that is known was uncovered during the interrogation of an [[Astral Claws]] [[apothecary]] during the [[Badab War]]. This interrogation revealed that the remnants of the long lost Tiger Claws had secretly taken refuge with their primogenitors the [[Astral Claws]] and were being masqueraded as members of that chapter, with the eventual aim of rebuilding the Tiger Claws using withheld [[Astral Claws]] [[gene-seed tythes]] tithes².

The In the original version of the Badab War the Tiger Claws are depicted¹ as wearing dark grey armour that, from mid-thigh to took the feet, transitions into yellow. The shoulder pads are yellow with a dark grey trim and role of the Astral Claws (there was no such chapter symbol and unit markings in black. The chest eagle is a lighter grey.  Tiger as the Astral Claws have also been depicted in a tiger striped camo patternthis iteration).   The name of Huron's chapter symbol appears was altered to be a black panther head, very similar the Astral Claws in style/pose subsequent editions with the name 'Tiger Claws' variously either going missing or being applied to other elements of the background until the current edition, which places them as a successor chapter of the [[Astral Claws]] chapter symbol, though only a partial symbol is visible in [[Imperial Armour Volume Nine - The Badab War - Part One]].
