It was rumoured in senior [[Inquisition]] circles at the time that this was no bad thing; the chapter was thought to be of the [[Cursed Founding]] and so better off dead.<sup>1a</sup>
The Tiger Claws were once again thought extinct, until the interrogation of an [[Astral Claws]] [[apothecary]] during the [[Badab War]] revealed some startling information. The prisoner disclosed that the remnants of the long lost Tiger Claws had secretly taken refuge with their primogenitors, the [[Astral Claws]], and were being masqueraded as members of that chapter with the eventual aim of rebuilding the Tiger Claws using withheld [[Astral Claws]] [[gene-seed]] tithes.<sup>1b</sup>
Because of this, any Tiger Claws survivors of the [[Badab War]] are now part of the [[Red Corsairs]].
