Like most Dark Eldar weapons, it can be fitted with a close combat attachment, usually a wickidly sharp blade designed to slash and stab at the enemy.
The [[Incubi]] in the [[Dark Eldar Pain Legions]] have wear a specialhelmet, possibly called the [[Tormentor Helm]], incorporating a neurally activated, Splinter Pistol mounted in their helmets, allowing them use both a ranged weapon and keep their hands free for [[close combat]].
