The '''Legion of the Damned''' are a mysterious band of [[Space Marines]], probably the remnants of the destroyed [[Fire Hawks]] chapter, who appear unexpectedly from nowhere to help Imperial forces in times of great need.
They were introduced in [[WD099|White Dwarf 99(UK)]] and occasionally made appearances in later editions of Warhammer 40,000. They could be used by an Imperial army as an allied force, and fought as a single unit. The Games Workshop website presently has a datasheet for using the Legion of the Damned in games of [[Apocalypse]]. Currently in 5th Edition, they are available as an elites choice for the [[Codex: Space Marines (5th Edition)| Space Marines codex]].
