All that is known is that it is a [[daemon ]] that plagues the deapthless realm of the warp in a scarlet train fueled by the screams and the pains of the tormented it holds in it carriages. The Omphalos Daemonium itselfs bears a resemblance to a vast [[Iron Warriors|Iron Warrior ]] of the [[Traitor Legions]], though it bears signs of being daemon influenced. the Omphalos Daemonium is featured in the novel [[Dark Sky, Black Sun]]. In the novel it captures the two discraced [[Ultramarines ]] [[Uriel Ventris]] and his former Sergeant [[Brother Pasanius]]. It takes the two to the home world of [[Mendgrad]], home world of the traitor Iron Warriors in order to take an object it calls the Heart of Blood.
