The Space Marine ending for Dawn of War 2 shows a broken Gabriel held by Captain Apollo Diomedes after the defeat of Ascendant Azariah Kyras. As Diomedes calls off the Exterminatus of Subsector Aurelia, the Inquisition inquires about the fate of Captain Gabriel Angelos. A moment later, Diomedes is shown, presumably upon the Litany of Fury, providing dialogue regarding the outcome of the Blood Ravens Chapter. It is revealed he is speaking to Gabriel, who survived Cyrene and has taken the seat of Chapter Master to the Blood Ravens.
