It doesn't matter that it is in the index. You just add a page number because it helps people find it more easily, and helps to solidify your sources. Take a look at any of the Tyranids pages, sure the Tyranid codex has an index, but people still list the page numbers for all the bits of information. If you don't do it, it just frustrates people and they'll come to your talk page and chastize you more, or more likely Inquisitor S. will delete your work, and trust me I know how that feels too.
