Auto Weapons have, for the most part, been removed from the arsenals of the Imperium due to their similarity to las weapons, except for the Autocannon.
[[Autopistols]] and [[Autoguns]] are similar in power to their laser counterparts ([[Laspistol]] and [[Lasgun]]) but the [[Autocannon]] is very different to the [[Lascannon]]. Instead of very high power it has a higher rate of fire, which has allowed it to survive the recent reduction in weapons types available to the Imperial commander. There are also sniper weapons using solid slugs, however these are also being superceded by the Long-las.
