Barabas Dantioch was the architect of the [[Schadenhold]] fortress on [[Lesser Damantyne]] during the [[Horus Heresy]]. When Warsmith Krendl came to the fortress ordering that his fortress be used as a resuply point for [[Horus]]'s armies. When Warsmith Dantioch refused to betray the [[Emperor]] Krendl told him that he would crush his fortress in the name of [[Horus]] <sup>1</sup>.
Dantioch spent the next 366 days commanding his meager forces against the 51st expeition fleet and the 14th Grand Company and towards the end of the seige an Emperor class titan. When the fortress was about to fall he teleported himself and a few others onto the traitors main base of operations in orbit around the planet and steal off with the ship. This worked and they escaped the planet and Dantioch assisted the Emperor in fortifying the [[Imperial Palace]] against the traitors. His final fate is unknown although he was severely ill so it is likely he did not live for too long <sup>1</sup>.
