Though two of the three invading Ork [[Space Hulk|space hulks]] are destroyed in orbit by the Blood Angels fleet and boarding parties, a third would land on the surface and disgorge thousands of Orks. The defense of the Blood Angels fortress-monastery would fall to forty-one dreadnoughts led by [[Furioso Astramael]], who managed to hold off the Orks long enough for reinforcements to arrive from orbit and mop up the remaining Ork forces.<sup>4a</sup>
