During the attack of the [[Bloodborn]] on [[Ultramar]], in 854999.M41<sup>1b</sup>, the 2nd Company was deployed to [[Espandor]]. Still smarting over the perceived slight on Black Reach, Manorian was eager for his squad to be assigned an offensive role and fight at Sicarius's side<sup>3a</sup>.
The Shield Bearers fought in the main force of When Sicarius led the 2nd Company when Sicarius led it to [[Corinth (city)|Corinth]] to confront attack the enemy force's headquarters, Squad Manorian was assigned to hold the city's northern gate and acquitted themselves honorablyprevent reinforcements from reaching the Captain's force. In effect, this pitted the Shield Bearers against the whole of the enemy force outside the headquarters, a task which Manorian's fellow sergeants said he accepted eagerly<sup>3b</sup>.
