The '''Leman Russ Vanquisher''' is a rare and specialised variant of the [[Leman Russ Battle Tank]] used by the [[Imperial Guard]]. It has a significantly more powerful cannon, with a longer barrel and the ability to fire anti-tank Vanquisher rounds, called the [[Vanquisher cannon]]. These are extremely effective at penetrating armour even at great ranges.

==History==
The Vanquisher was mainly built on the [[Forge World]] [[Tigrus]] until it was overrun by the [[Ork]] [[Warboss|Warlord]] [[Arrgard the Defiler]] in [[M35]]. Since then the numbers of Vanquishers have been dropping and no one can replace them easily. Only two Few current Forge Worlds have succeeded in replacing producing the Vanquisher with their own design, designs. Two that are known to have succeeded are [[Gryphonne IV]](Turned Later turned into a Dead World by Hive Fleet Leviathan) and [[Stygies VIII]].
